About StreetSmart Canada
StreetSmart Canada is an easy way for restaurants and their guests to support local food banks and food programs during the holiday season. The first StreetSmart campaign launched successfully in Vancouver for the 2012 holiday season. During it’s second year, the project has expanded to include Victoria, Toronto and Kingston.
The success of StreetSmart in Canada and around the world proves that a simple idea can have a huge impact in a community. The achievements of these initiatives in other countries inspired The Gratitude Aeffect Foundation to launch the StreetSmart Project in Canada.
The StreetSmart Project is the current focus of The Gratitude Aeffect Foundation, whose work to help end hunger and homelessness started in 2009 with the Gratitude Week Project. The Foundation was inspired by a small and dedicated group of people with one simple belief: that their own gratitude has the power to affect and effect the lives of others and could one day end homelessness and hunger in the Lower Mainland of Vancouver.
